There are several kinds of hidden object games and the 'Clutter' series by 'Joe' are one type. This type was, I believe, pioneered by 'Joe'. It seems that the time has come when someone else picks up the genre and that is what 'Catch the Witch' is. If you liked the 'Clutter' series you will like this one too, because it is the same type of game. The artwork is unique and, as an artist, I thought it was very good. The only complain I have is that the authors had the whole screen available to them and they confined the game to maybe 70% of it while the rest is wasted. I hope they will use the whole screen next time. Those readers unfamiliar with the 'Clutter' games may want to know what the game is. It is mostly a jumble of colorful, or black and white objects. You match pairs or triples of objects that are the same; or objects that are similar, such as a 'bird to a bird' even if they are different species. There is a timer to complete all the matches possible in a scene. There are also interspersed games that take cut ups of a scene and you re-assemble it, but these are really quite easy. As to the timer, you can have no timer, normal timer or fast timer. I found that after progressing a certain distance in the game I was not able to get the scenes completed with the normal timer. I switched to 'no timer' mode. This is because it is really not that interesting to keep trying the same scene until you can beat the normal time. I had the same experience with the 'Clutter' games, but there, the timers seemed long enough. The authors of this game may want to extend the 'normal' times a little longer next time if they read these reviews - and please use the whole screen.
